Opened for Middle Class Rut...awesome show!
On Wednesday 3/23/11 we opened for Middle Class Rut at The Rock in Tucson, AZ. The house (it really is a house) was pretty much packed and, for the first time we've ever seen at The Rock, there only 3 bands! MCR killed it...they put on a solid, emotional performance and worked the crowd well. We always pick up things from bands like MCR that are ahead of us in the game...I guess you could say that we're strategically using them, muahahahaha. We like doing higher profile shows like this one because in addition to the 80+ fans who came out to support us, we made hand fulls of new fans and sold quite a bit of our merchandise. Those things are great but really they are insignificant compared to the fun we had at this show! Keep your eyes peeled for some pics and video footage from the show. You can also visit BSceneLive to read a full show review and see some great photos from Stacy Fortson!

First tour leg in California complete...no fatalities
We started out 2011 with 3 shows in California to kick off our "From The Top Of Your Lungs" tour. We'll be traveling around the Southwest this year supporting the release of our debut album, meeting new fans, and having good times. If you Cringer The Battlecat (otherwise known as our band van) pulling into your town, just follow us to the show!
California was fun...we played The Joint in West Los Angeles on Friday 1/14/11, Billy O's in Ventura on Saturday 1/15/11, and The Creekside on Sunday 1/16/11. We met some cool bands too like 'The Hunter And The Prey' from Ventura who we played with and rocked out to at Billy O's. I bet we intimidated their fans a little bit while they were playing with our drinking, head banging, and "Beeyahing!" a la Dave Chapelle as Howard Dean. Saturday was a rough night for our bass player, Ryan. Well actually, Sunday morning was probably worse...no...if the trash can in his room could talk it would argue that Sunday was DEFINITELY a bad morning for both Ryan and the trash can. There may be videos and/or pictures to accompany this story...if we get approval from Ryan. Don't worry, no video or pictures were taken Sunday morning! ;)
We also got to meet Rik's parents too, we stayed with his mom in Ventura and she was super hospitable and cooked us awesome burritos for breakfast. We also got to rock out with Rik's dad's band, 'Spin Switcher,' when we played in Santa Barbara.
Lessons learned: Long Islands are for sipping, don't fuck with Geoff's drums, & bring Advil on tour!
